Not only are our playclothes and playthings are fave things; there's bunches of products and services out there that we absolutely love and hope to share them with you as well.

Orion's Felt Cafe

http://orionsfeltcafe.blogspot.com/

Soon after I started displaying my products at the Point Loma Farmers Market, I started seeing the same families return for their Community Supported Agriculture box; who always stopped and spent a minute or two catching me up on their lives.  One family in particular brought back memories of DC.  I met them when Rachael (the mom) was wearing a Gaulladet University shirt - university for the hard of hearing/deaf in DC; I always used to pass by there on my way to my college.  I've enjoyed her visits to the booth along with her son James and husband Eric.  James is a master at baby sign, thanks to his sign language interpreting parents!

Well, I was so excited to hear of their new venture, Orion's Felt Cafe.   They design and create cute eco-friendly felt produce and food for play.  I can't wait to buy Sofia the full set.  I started carrying their products on my table and have received rave reviews from passersby. Check them out; another family friendly local business!

Nature of Art - Colour Blocks

When I was deliberating whether to display my products at the Leucadia Farmers Market, I met the owner of this non-toxic art supplies company that specializes in non-toxic square shaped "crayons" called Colourblocks; and art classes in San Diego.  She was very inspirational and we have become closer friends since then; her kids and my daughter love to play together.  She has motivated me on those days where I wonder, why am I doing this....I'll always be grateful to her for that.  Check out her website at:

Udo Wahn - Local San Diego Children's Book Author

http://www.caboandcoral.com/

I met Udo at the new Children's Museum downtown, where he was doing a book signing of his first book, Cabo and Coral Go Surfing.  I thought it was fabulous and got his second book Cabo and Coral's Secret Surf Spot not long after.  He is an inspiration, as a surfer, retired doctor, father, author, volunteer, etc.  I look forward to showcasing his books in my booth.  But if you're not in San Diego, you can order online through his website (and he signs them if you purchase them through his website or my farmers market booth).
